A Collins Avenue stay at a stylish beachfront hotel just steps from Ocean Drive, with direct beach access

South Beach is scorching, and it’s not just the steamy weather. Everything from the nightlife to the Latin vibe to the sun-worshipers blanketing the beach makes it clear: This is one sizzling destination. Standing tall in a 1939 Art Deco building, however, is Royal Palm South Beach Miami, a Tribute Portfolio resort. And between its stylish rooms’ blue and green hues, plus its ocean views and access, this sleek hotel is as cool as Miami is hot.

Mid-century design melds with modern amenities at this meticulously updated gem on the city’s iconic oceanfront. Boasting myriad dining and drinking options, a full-service spa, a fitness center and two gorgeous pools – along with a heated plunge pool – the property gives you little incentive to ever leave. But when you’re ready to face the heat, glittering Ocean Drive, the shops of Collins Avenue, Lincoln Road Mall, Espanola Way, restaurants and nightlife are right outside.

Dining

If you’re not familiar with Florida cuisine, the mouth-watering menus at both The Grove and Florida Cookery will give you a crash course. The star of the show in this restaurant’s breakfast, lunch and dinner is fresh seafood, from oysters to snapper to conch fritters, with Latin-inspired picks, like empanadas, thrown in for good measure – all ingredients fresh and locally sourced. Alternatively, kick back at Byblos, the hotel’s Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, serving up family-style fare from a menu described as a “coastal and cultural mosaic.”

You can also grab your morning joe, a cup of tea or a fruit juice at The Compass Rose Bar, elegantly set in the hotel’s old green-glass reception desk, or dine in the privacy of your room.

Spa

A unique and utterly blissful experience is on hand at Privai Wellness + Spa, where therapies highlight the healing power of salt. Derived from the ocean, the mineral infuses the treatments and provides a different, yet totally divine, spa day. Enjoy a massage, a body treatment, a saltwater soak, a facial, a lifestyle class, or – better yet – combine a few with a package.

Location

Set in a highly coveted South Beach location, the hotel is right on Collins Avenue, just north of iconic Ocean Drive at 15th Street. From this ideal location, you’ll be able to directly access both the beach and the Miami boardwalk. Collins Avenue has an abundance of luxury shops, and plenty of entertainment and dining options can be found a few blocks away on Lincoln Road and Espanola Way.

Please note that a resort fee of $37.20 per room, per night will be added on the payment screen. The resort fee includes a bottle of water in the room; access to two beach chairs and the 24-hour fitness center; towel service on the beach; local and domestic long-distance telephone calls; and morning newspapers Monday through Friday.
