Places We Love: Old Rectory Hotel, Plettenberg

The Old Rectory Hotel is a few seconds walk from the pristine beaches of the picturesque coastal town of Plettenberg Bay along South Africa’s Garden Route.  This historic national monument, first mentioned on a map in 1777, has been beautifully restored to meet the needs of the modern guest. Positioned perfectly to enable you to easily visit the town, however once here, you may not want to leave.

This boutique hotel has only 18 luxury suites and is accompanied by an in-house dining hall with a cocktail-bar for you to enjoy. Plettenberg Bay, as well as glorious beaches, is close to wonderful whale watching spots, leading golf courses, wildlife sanctuaries, great surfing locations and several nearby vineyards with wine tasting available.
